I purchased a Thermo Spa round hot tub in November from a salesman from Pittsburg. He sold me a bill of goods but we were happy with the tub until I needed chemicals which I decided to get local. Low and behold, when I walked into The Place on Rt. 18, I saw a similar hot tub to mine at a lot less money. After talking to Andrea from The Place, she informed me that it was made from the same manufacturer as mine. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful at The Place. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for our wonderful new spa. We love it! I can’t believe how much we have enjoyed our spa in the short time that we have owned it. I look back and laugh at my pre-purchase concerns if we would really use a spa and be happy with it. My husband and I relish relaxing in our spa any time of day, every day. Our young children greatly enjoy it too. We have entertained friends and I have even hosted a “ladies spa day” for some girlfriends.

The novelty of new items can wear off over time, but I have no doubt that the relaxation and enjoyment of our spa will make it a wonderful retreat for years to come. We have been owners of a Manhattan Gold Coast spa since May 2004. Our intent was to purchase this luxury item for relaxation but it has proven to be so much more. The personnel at The Place in North Royalton and Medina, Ohio are friendly, fun to talk to and most importantly, knowledgeable. It’s fun to enter the store because you feel as though you are beginning a vacation!

Donerae Testa and Ann Kurilec work hard to make that happen. Our spa was delivered on time and the installers worked quickly and with well-mannered professionalism. They explained how to start up the spa and answered all our questions clearly. We also found the instore maintenance class to be invaluable because the instructor, Ron, a repairman carefully explained how the spa worked and how proper care can prevent a maintenance call.

We use our spa daily and the maintenance time to keep the spa clean and sanitary is minimal. Five minutes on a daily basis, 10 minutes weekly and 2 ½ hours four times a year to drain, clean and refill the spa. This small amount of time is a well spent investment in a relaxed and calm way to end each day (and sometimes start the day too!). Using our spa goes well beyond relaxation. It is a time to think and meditate. It’s time to unwind, regroup, and recharge. It’s time to breathe! We have found that our family has grown closer because of the time spent together soaking away the hours.

I just wanted to take a moment to compliment your associate Mike Justice. I had the occasion to work with Mike on Saturday, October 27th at a home at 6009 Champagne Shore in Medina. The home is for sale and there is a hot tub on the patio that is included in the sale. The potential buyer asked that it be in working order at the time of title transfer.

Mike Justice was the technician who appeared and spent considerable time SERVICING the unit, which had definitely been neglected by the previous owners. Mike was EXTREMELY professional and a pleasure to be around. He replaced the part, and continued to investigate the unit for any other potential problems. Mike was very knowledgeable, detailed in his efforts and very particular about the condition of his repair and the unit itself. He did a ‘miraculous’ job of getting this particular hot tub up and running! With absolutely NO experience with hot tubs, I was dependant on his expertise and it was definitely MOST APPRECIATED.

Dear Donerae,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the advice you gave me today concerning my hot tub and the price of replacing my spa cover. Just a quick note to let you know that I should have listened to you back in May of 2003. I thought I new better and bought a Gulf Coast Spa from a furniture store in Cleveland, Ohio. I did initially save some money, paying approximately $4800 for the Rotunda Spa; however, I am approaching the amount of money in repairs that I would have spent if I bought the spa from The Place.

As of this date, I have had to replace the following items: On March 4, 2006 I had to replace the Spa Pack, which cost me $321.00 (prorated) and the main pump for $361.00 plus labor at $180.00. This totaled $862-thank goodness for the prorated price of the spa pack or we could have added another $200.00. In 2004 I had to replace the Control Panel, but that was under warranty so it only cost me the frustration of having to figure out what was wrong with the spa and the wait for the repair. As of this date I have had to replace the filter cover pad a($39.95) and four head rests ($34.00 a piece), and they are already showing wear and tear and will have to be replaced again. There goes another $175.95. The main reason that I stopped in was to price a Spa Cover, since the one I received with the spa is no longer functional. The top has ripped at the seams, the insides have broken and all in all is pretty useless. This will costs another $400.00 to replace.

The craftsmanship of the cabinet that the tub sits in is also suspect. It is separating at the top of the joints of the cabinet and basically looks nasty. I have maintained the proper care, applying linseed oil and the likes, but the cabinet still looks pretty beat. You were right, the wood does require care and it does age, looking nasty after awhile. So once again, I have learned cheaper is not better. I should have listened to your sound advice back then, and I will in the future. I do appreciate the time you spent with me today. It is nice to have someone local to deal with rather than a call to Florida. Even though the guys at the furniture store are very nice, they nothing about big tubs filled with hot water.

I use my spa year round. Since I have had my spa I’m more relaxed. My balance and walking is a lot better too, so in turn I don’t fall as often as I used to. My muscles are not stiff and tight like they used to be. My spa really works for me and serves my purpose. This year will be 3 years for my tub and I just love it.

At birth because of complications, I have cerebral palsy but I do a lot of normal things in my life including working full time. At this time, I’m laid off but I help my parents with the yard work and keep our home tidy. I also ride ATV’s and have a plow on my larger ATV so I keep the drive plowed for my parents.

My spa sits outside on the patio so it’s neat to sit in it while the snow falls. Also the service is great at The Place.

We want to thank Joe Quinn, the set-up group, and the rest of the staff at The Place of Medina for a spa purchasing experience that was hassle free and pleasant. From the time we first saw the Coast Spas in their booth at the Cleveland Home and Garden Show and until it was fully set up and functional at our home, they did everything in their power to be sure that all our questions were answered, it would be installed properly and our family would be satisfied with the final results.

My wife and I met Joe one weekend at the Medina store when we stopped in to determine which of the coast spas we would like and whether we could find one that would fit into our new landscaping project. Joe spent about two hours with us that day finding the right spa and using his experience with unusual installations to suggest ways to bury a portion of the spa underground. We took his ideas back to Rock Hill Landscaping who was coordinating our project to discuss the ideas. They felt we could accomplish the task but they needed to see the tub. The landscaper, my wife and I met with Joe the next weekend to formulate a plan.

Again, Joe met with us for about two hours as we measured the tub to be sure it would work within our design. Joe got the installation people involved to be sure the landscaper was covering all the requirements of the installation to eliminate future problems. Their help was invaluable and provided us with nothing but cooperation. They even allowed us to use one of their transport trailers for three days so that the spa could be on site to measure and verify that the walls were being constructed to the exact dimensions for a perfect fit. During the installation, Joe and one of the service staff stopped by to be sure there were no problems and that everything was as it should be.

After the installation, The Place provided a spa course to educate us on the chemical application options, how to use them and the general maintenance of the Coast Spas. Since our installation in October of 2002 we have used the tub on an average of three times a week and more in the winter months. We are extremely pleased with the performance of the Coast spa and have not had any problems with it. The large pumps and the quality construction live up to Coast’s claims and our expectations.
The Place staff, in a timely fashion and in a courteous manner, has handled any problems or questions that we have encountered with the chemical balances or other conditions of the tub.

Congratulations on a job well done. We know that if we hear of anyone looking into purchasing a hot tub, our recommendation to them will be to go to The Place in Medina where you can get one of the finest spas on the market from the finest staff anywhere.

I want to thank you for everything you and your company has done for us in providing our incredible spa room, and Coast Spa. My daughter recently had her sweet 16 party at our house, and over 60 people attended. The spa and spa room, along with a bonfire on the patio, was a hit not only with the kids, but the adults as well.

The bottom line is, if it were not for you agreeing to take on the whole job, getting rid of the old spa which hadn’t worked for years, remodeling the room including the stone floor you suggested, and providing the remodeler who put up the cedar walls, ran the electric, and all that was necessary to make the room perfect, we could have never gotten it done. Thanks again. One more thing, I believe you were right about the Coast Spa. I spent several days looking at other spas on the market, and it is the best quality.

We wanted to express our satisfaction in regards to the Hot Tub and Tiki Bar that we purchased from The Place. We bought both items at the Home and Garden Show in January 2003. The Sales Consultant from The Place was courteous and helpful during the purchasing process. It was a no-pressure sale.

Both items compliment our swimming pool and make our backyard even a nicer place than we could have imagined. Our friends that come over are very complimentary of our layout, especially the Tiki Bar. It is a very unique addition to have in one’s backyard. We have purchased a hot tub and gas logs from The Place. We have had a very pleasant experience with all the sales personnel. They have answered all of our concerns. They are very straightforward and will not lead you on.

We have had a wood burning fireplace for years and wanted to try gas logs. We went to several places trying to make a decision. The sales people at The Place were very convincing in our decision. We have it. It is great when you have a cool night or day and walk over and turn the gas valve on. Within minutes the room is very toasty. Now for the best of all…the hot tub. Again they were extremely helpful and reliable. We enjoy our hot tub to the maximum. We have a little different situation. Our hot tub is inside the house. It is in the sunroom and we just love it. Again we are in the tub at least 4 times a week. I think it is the best thing for the wife and I since M&M’s. The tub is very relaxing and soothing.
