As President of The Place, it is my responsibility to make sure we live by our Mission Statement. When hiring staff, I look first for a heart to serve and second for capacity to be trained to The Place standards. I know employees who love people and their job create an easy and enjoyable buying experience for our clients. I started full-time in the family business after graduating from Ohio State University. (We won’t count the years of sweeping floors and counting inventory as a child!) I worked the parts counter at The Tractor Place in Medina for years and become friends with our clients. For almost three decades, my clients have come back purchasing outdoor power equipment, hot tubs, care products, fireplaces, jet skis and many other relaxation products. The Place invests heavily in staff training and continual education. My intention is always to lead by example. I am passionate about education. I personally am a National Fireplace Certified “ Master Hearth Professional” and a Certified Recreational Water Technician. Our staff is among the best trained in our industries. Jesus Christ taught me how to love and live by the Golden Rule. My Dad taught me entrepreneurship. My mentor, Paul Izzo, taught me good stewardship. My gratitude to them and the many others who have contributed to, and continue to contribute, to our success.
